I’m starting to post all my lifting and progress posts back on my main tumblr again. It contains even more personal ramblings you don’t care about and posts about all of my other boring hobbies so don’t follow.
(But if you’re still interested it’s xsalwayswin.tumblr.com)
Yesterday was one of those sad and angry days that wouldn’t let me think about anything else until I’d find something to distract myself. So I did. Squats were the solution. It’s actually my light week so for back squats I didn’t go heavy and just upped my reps a bit. Which worked miracles because I’m having trouble to sit and walk the stairs right now. I also slept more than my usual 4-6 hours (almost 9 to be exact), so I’m hoping for major muscle and power gains.
Started out with front squats to get better at them and I think I hit a PR. Still I’ve never tried to go real heavy with them, so I don’t know my max weight. Maybe I’ll try next week.
Front Squats
20kg x 10
30kg x 5
40kg x 5 PR
Back Squats
40kg x 6
45kg x 6
50kg x 6
50kg x 6
Good Mornings
40kg 3x8 reps
I’m always neglecting rest time. I really have to work on getting more hours of sleep, also during the week. Something has to change. I am most certain that I could be bigger and better by now if I just rested more.
I want it to be time to squat already.
Earlier this week I found out that because of my long arms I’ll probably never have a great biceps peak. I will forever be stuck with my monkey arms and don’t really look strong. It’s a curse. It’s just looks but it makes people (who know I lift, not many but a few) make fun of me and say I’m making up the numbers I hit - because other than my butt and thighs I look like a stick figure, hence ‘weak’.
Someone shorten my arms. I wanna look bulky already.
Nonetheless I still have a little bit of DOMS in my biceps from the last two days’ training. Guess that’s good.
